North Kingstown, RI - Bigger field. More blooms. Even more joy. This spring, Wicked Tulips Flower Farm unveils its most breathtaking season yet - announcing the consolidation of its two Rhode Island farms into one larger destination in North Kingstown, RI. Connecticut fans can rest easy: the beloved Preston farm remains open and blooming.
With two vibrant locations - North Kingstown, RI and Preston, CT - Wicked Tulips continues to host the largest u-pick tulip experience in New England, now featuring more color, more space, and more photo-worthy moments than ever before. By combining their former Exeter and Johnston farms into one expansive property at 140 Exeter Road in North Kingstown, founders Keriann and Jeroen Koeman have created a destination that is twice the size of previous Rhode Island farms - while continuing to welcome guests to their picturesque farm at 382 Route 164 in Preston, Connecticut.

The 90-acre North Kingstown property isn’t just about planting more tulips - it creates the space to step into bulb production in a meaningful way. With this expansion, Wicked Tulips is becoming the first commercial tulip bulb producers in New England. By cultivating Rhode
Island–grown bulbs, the Koemans are reducing reliance on imports from Holland and investing in a more sustainable, locally rooted future for American-grown tulips.
“After years of importing bulbs from Holland, this expansion gives us the land to scale
and grow our own, right here in Rhode Island,” says Jeroen Koeman. “I’m proud to be
pioneering this for New England!”

What began in 2009 with 60,000 hand-planted tulips has grown into a stunning 1.5 million- annual tulip operation, now planted by GPS guided tractor in a modern net system to plant and harvest the bulbs. While the farm’s roots include early leadership in environmentally responsible bulb growing, today the focus remains simple and joyful: creating breathtaking spring experiences while continuing to farm with care and intention.
Each spring, for approximately three short, spectacular weeks, the fields transform into oceans of color. Guests wander through vibrant rows of tulips, breathe in the sweet scent of spring, and gather armfuls of fresh-picked blooms. Whether planning a family adventure, a
romantic stroll, a friends’ day out, or the ultimate self-care moment, one thing is certain: Happiness blooms here.

Weekends frequently sell out, and tickets at the gate are not guaranteed. Opening day is
determined by the tulips themselves - Mother Nature sets this schedule.
