Mayor Charlie Holder has officially signed a proclamation
declaring July 11-12 as "Newport Kite Festival Days."

Since 1986, this beloved grassroots tradition has drawn 20,000 families to Newport's coastline for spectacular kite displays, hands-on workshops, live entertainment, and pure outdoor joy. Watch professional kite flyers perform aerial acrobatics, help your kids build their first kite, enjoy the candy drop, and let them run wild on the open fields with the Atlantic Ocean as your backdrop.
