What Is Bonus Bucks?
Bonus Bucks is a free program run by Farm Fresh Rhode Island that gives SNAP users a 100% match on what they spend at participating farmers' markets. That means for every $1 you spend with your SNAP card, you get $1 extra, free to spend on fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs.
Spend $10? You get $10 in Bonus Bucks. It really is that simple.
How To Use It
- Find a participating farmers market near you, look for the Bonus Bucks icon in the 2026 RI Farmers Market Guide
- Head to the Welcome Table when you arrive at the market
- Swipe your SNAP/EBT card for the amount you want to spend
- Receive tokens, your regular SNAP tokens plus your FREE Bonus Bucks tokens
- Shop! Use both sets of tokens with participating vendors for fresh produce
Other Benefits Accepted at RI Farmers Markets
Bonus Bucks isn't the only way to save. Many Rhode Island markets also accept:
- WIC- bring your WIC card directly to farmers to buy fresh fruits and vegetables
- SFMNP (Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program)- seniors can use vouchers directly with farmers for fresh produce
- Credit, debit, and cash are accepted at most markets statewide
